Margot Ritchie is a Toronto-based journalist, whose articles focus on wine and culinary trends. A member of the Wine Writers' Circle since 1997, she has travelled throughout many of the major wine growing regions of Europe and North America. This includes France, Italy, Austria and Portugal, as well as California, New York State and Ontario. Spirits, sake and beer are also highlighted in her writings, where her travels have extended to Scotland, Japan and the Czech Republic.

Current wine related activities

Margot writes a quarterly column in Elite Wine, Food and Travel ( "Wining and Dining") and Modesty Magazine (profiles of wine regions and producers).  She also has a regular wine buys column in the International Women's Forum (IWF) - Toronto Chapter newsletter and has contributed a "Sip and Savour" bi-weekly column in the Portuguese Post and a "Trends" column in Del Condominium Lifestyle.

Margot's other wine related activities include conducting wine seminars and tastings for corporations and private functions. She also advises on private wine cellar management.
